Zenergize Teams Up with Infineon to Develop India-Designed Power Electronics for Clean Energy

Zenergize

New Delhi: Infineon Technologies AG has announced a strategic technology partnership with Zenergize to accelerate India’s clean energy transformation.

The collaboration, unveiled at the Bharat Electricity Summit 2026 held at Yashobhoomi, aims to enable India-designed, high-performance power-electronics systems for solar, EV charging, and energy storage applications.

The partnership highlights Zenergize’s growing role in India’s power-electronics ecosystem, while reinforcing Infineon’s commitment to supporting the country’s energy-transition ambitions.

With nearly three decades of presence in India and over 2,500 employees across four sites, Infineon brings global semiconductor expertise combined with strong local engagement to support Zenergize in building advanced energy solutions.

Enabling Indian Innovation with Advanced Semiconductor Technology

As part of the collaboration, Infineon will provide Zenergize with its advanced wide-bandgap (WBG) power semiconductors, including silicon carbide (SiC) technology, along with application engineering support for system-level integration.

The partnership is focused on product and technology integration and does not involve a joint venture.

Infineon’s SiC-based solutions are designed to deliver higher energy-conversion efficiency, reduced power losses, and greater power density compared to traditional silicon-based systems.

This enables Zenergize to develop solar inverters capable of maximizing energy output, EV chargers that are faster and more reliable, and energy-storage systems that operate efficiently even under demanding environmental conditions in India.

Jens Reinstaedt, Vice President Application Management Industrial & Infrastructure at Infineon Technologies, said: “India’s energy-transition ambitions are among the most significant in the world, and Infineon is committed to being a long-term technology partner in this journey.

As the number one in power semiconductors, we master all relevant materials – silicon, silicon carbide, and gallium nitride – and deliver complete system solutions from power switches and gate drivers to microcontrollers, sensors, and connectivity. This enables partners like Zenergize to build more efficient, compact, and reliable power-electronics products, optimized for India’s demanding operating conditions.”

Highlighting the importance of the collaboration, Veer Karan Goyal said: “Access to Infineon’s globally proven semiconductor technology, combined with our understanding of Indian operating conditions, positions us to build products that are truly designed in India for India and eventually for the world.”

Infineon – Zenergize Partnership: Strengthening India’s Path to Technology Self-Reliance

The partnership between Infineon and Zenergize comes at a time when India is accelerating investments in renewable energy, electric mobility, and distributed power infrastructure.

Government initiatives such as the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana, along with the rapid expansion of EV charging infrastructure and large-scale energy storage systems, are driving demand for domestically designed power-electronics solutions.

By enabling Zenergize to leverage globally proven semiconductor technologies, Infineon is contributing to the development of India’s indigenous power-electronics capabilities.

The collaboration is expected to strengthen system-level innovation within the country while ensuring that products meet global performance standards.

As India advances toward its vision of becoming a Viksit Bharat, partnerships like that of Infineon and Zenergize are expected to play a critical role in building a resilient and self-reliant technology ecosystem.

Showcasing Innovation at Bharat Electricity Summit 2026

Infineon is showcasing its latest solutions for the power industry at booth 2E21 during the Bharat Electricity Summit 2026, being held at Yashobhoomi, New Delhi from March 19–21, 2026.

The collaboration with Zenergize is positioned as a key highlight of the company’s efforts to drive innovation in India’s clean energy and power-electronics sectors.
